Interim Pastor
Johnny Boutchia is from Ft. Myers, Florida. He was raised in a Christian home and attended a Christian school. Johnny accepted Christ as his personal savior at the age of seven, and was led to Christ by his 2nd grade teacher. Johnny went to Crown College where he graduated with a degree in Youth Ministry in May of 2018.
Johnny started as the Youth Pastor for Calvary Baptist in the summer of 2018. His energy, and passion for the word of God has been a wonderful addition to the church. He married his wife Andrea just three weeks after starting at Calvary. He is so excited to have her by his side as he serves the church.
“Fusion” is the youth group for Calvary that was launched under Johnny’s direction. The following verse is the theme for the youth group – Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
He wants the teenagers to not be ashamed of what Christ has done in their lives. They should aspire to be the best witness and testimony that they can be so that their friends and colleagues understand that there is something different about being a believer in Christ.
Children's pastor & Music leader
Ethan Green is from Knoxville, Tennessee. He was raised in a Christian home and grew up as a pastors kid. He accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of five while in children’s church. In the summer of 2005, Ethan surrendered his life to the Lord and accepted the call to preach while at Indian Creek Baptist Camp. After graduating high school, Ethan attended The Crown College in Powell, Tennessee and graduated in May of 2019 with a degree in Youth Ministry. Ethan came to Calvary Baptist in January of 2021 to become the children’s pastor and music leader. Prior to that, he was on staff at a church in Florida for a couple of short years. Ethan married his wife Mitzi in November of 2021. They also have one son, Maverick, who was born in May of 2023. They are excited to serve the Lord together here at Calvary Baptist Church.
Office Manager
Connie O’Neal began working at Calvary Baptist Church almost 9 years ago and is currently serving as the office manager. She is also an active volunteer in the church nursery, leadership committee, safety team and welcome center ministry.
Connie has been a member of CBC since her and her husband moved here from Michigan. While in Michigan they owned a Christian Coffee House and drew their theme from Galatians 5:22, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness faith…” They faithfully tried to use their business to show the love of Christ in their community by being a witness to the customers that entered the coffee house. Many a discussion took place centered around the topic of Jesus Christ.
Connie has a degree in Business Administration and has proudly served our country by being in the Air Force. She plans to be an active member of CBC for many years and counts it a blessing to be on staff.
Senior Ministry Director
Russell A. Wilkey Sr. serves presently as the Senior Ministry Director at Calvary Baptist Church, having answered the call to serve the Lord in beautiful Englewood, Florida more than twenty years ago with his beloved wife, Karen. Brother Wilkey has a B.S. degree from Tennessee Temple University and has served several churches in the following areas: Christian drama, radio, camps, VBS, youth and teen ministry, as well as, assistant pastor, church music and Christian education.
All of this has been his passion since hearing and obeying the Lord’s call to full-time service and his ordination to ministry in the late 1970’s. Brother Wilkey currently teaches the senior adults “Cornerstone SS Class” and leads them on various outings and activities.
Saved as a teen, but also having been raised in a sound Christian home, he considers himself most blessed and desires to be a blessing to all he comes in contact with.
John 15:16, “ Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” This verse serves as a motivational verse for him in ministry.
